African Instrument
July 19th, 2010
The Vuvuzela is a horn used by football fans in South Africa. The instrument is easy to use as you just have to blow through it, just like saxophone. Many have complaint about the noise of Vuvuzela from players to the audiences and have asked for it to be banned. Players are saying they find it hard to hear anything while playing in the field because of the sound from Vuvuzela.
Many TV audiences are complaining that they prefer listening to the oohs and aahs of the crowd rather than Vuvuzelas. They are saying in previous World Cup you can hear the crowd’s emotional and happy chants but at the current moment all we can hear is Vuvuzela’s. Players are playing with passion and fans support them with passion, we want to hear the passion not Vuvuzela.
FIFA has denied that Vuvuzela will be banned from the World cup because of these complaints, South African spokesman from Fifa said that Vuvuzela is a part of South African culture, we should all enjoy it. This is how South Africans celebrate and let us all celebrate together. He is right people need to adapt to the South African culture, lets enjoy it from now. When South Africa was selected they should have been aware of the Vuvuzela especially what happened in confederation cup last year, so they should have prepared for it.
Me and my sister the other day were playing online poker while watching Italy’s game and she got mad at the instrument when she lost one game. She was like the sound is so annoying I was just smiling really. We got a really good rakeback deals from few magazines so we thought we will try full tilt poker while watching the game.
